Veooz Bot
Veoozbot is a crawler that crawls, discovers and indexes stories and related documents from news sites, blogs, social networking websites and other similar websites much like a search engine helping users find interesting stories. Our crawler obeys robots.txt files and robot META tags in HTML. Our crawlers also follow sitemap ( http://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.html ) and RSS protocol ( http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html ) standards. These are the standard mechanisms for webmasters to tell web robots which portions of a site a robot can be accessed or indexed.
robots.txt
Our crawler obeys the robots.txt exclusion protocol, described at http://www.robotstxt.org/orig.html#robotstxt
Veooz crawler responds to the agent name "Veooz" or "Veoozbot".
Thus to ban all Veooz-based crawlers from your site,
place the following in your robots.txt file:
User-agent: Veooz (OR) Veoozbot
Disallow: / (OR) specific paths of your website
for example, if you want to block all paths under "foo", add
Disallow: "/foo"
Robots META
You can also tell robots not to index your pages or follow your links in other alternative ways. The standard mechanism for this is the robots META tag, as described at http://www.robotstxt.org/meta.html
